Seniors
The Senior Program at the Martin Luther King Community Center provides stimulating activities for people 55 years and older living in the Indianapolis Metropolitan area.
From 9:30 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday through Friday, participants enjoy various activities including current events, games, shopping, and presentations from guest-speakers. Lunch is provided everyday by Second Helpings and served to our seniors by caring staff and volunteers. In addition, seniors also enjoy field trips that are fun, educational, and relaxing.
Seniors participate in health and wellness presentations as well as health fairs that provide education to keep them physically and mentally fit. Participants are also provided free blood pressure and cholesterol checks on a monthly basis.
