Family Health Initiative

The Martin Luther King Community Center partners with the Marion County Health Department. This program is designed to empower individuals and families in our communities to make healthy lifestyle choices, by offering education, information and prevention programs. Health indicator areas of focus are: Diabetes, Cancer, Heart Disease, Hypertension, HIV-AIDS, Obesity and Mental Health.

We know that education and prevention information is key to a healthier community; our goal is to arm the community with up-to-date health information that will empower them to make healthier life choices.
