Volunteer your time
We always welcome anyone who has a heart for the community. Opportunities abound to help the Martin Luther King Community Center achieve its mission. Do you enjoy reading to pre schoolers or want to help tutor a middle school student? Could you teach music lessons, strings, wind or percussion? Would you like to do crafts with senior citizens or simply help answer the phones? There is a place for you!
Currently the Martin Luther King Community Center is looking for volunteers to specifically help with the following projects:
- Tutors
- Trimming shrubs & planting flowers
- Upkeep of the library
- Preparing bulk mailings
- Mentoring young adults in job readiness
- Distributing food boxes to senior citizens
- Event planning
- Center Beautification
